CAPRA accreditation is a distinguished mark of excellence for park and recreation agencies and is a measure of an agency’s overall quality of operation, management, and service to the community. The National Recreation and Park Association research team estimates that there are approximately 14,000 parks and recreation agencies nationwide, of which 1 percent have earned national accreditation. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation is proud to be one of these elite agencies since 2010.

Bare Bodkin’s presents

Twelfth Night

QUEEN BEE MILL AT FALLS PARK

The classic story of two young lovers who defy their One of Shakespeare’s most beloved romantic comedies, Twelfth Night centers on twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Believing her brother to be dead, Viola disguises herself as a young man and begins work as a servant for Duke Orsino. Viola quickly falls in love with Orsino, but she can’t confess her love without revealing that she is actually a woman. And besides, it’s complicated: Orsino is lovesick for a woman named Olivia who is not at all interested in his advances. When Orsino sends the disguised Viola to woo Olivia on his behalf, Olivia falls in love…with Viola! Full of mistaken identity, hilarious high jinks, a host of comedic characters, and lots of heart, Twelfth Night is sure to be a fan favorite. We are excited to bring this delightful comedy to the stage using Bare Bodkins’ signature fast-paced, engaging style for our 27th season of Shakespeare in the Park!

The 90-minute performance will take place in the ruins of the Queen Bee Mill at Falls Park.
