Street Closure – Dakota Avenue

Beginning on Monday, August 5, 2024, North Dakota Avenue will be closed between Sixth Street and Main Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete repairs.

Weather permitting, all work is expected to be completed within one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closures – 57th Street

Beginning on Monday, August 5, 2024, the eastbound lanes on West 57th Street will be closed east of Sweetbriar Drive. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained in the westbound lanes.

Althoff Crane will be replacing rooftop units at Faith Family Baptist Church. This work is expected to take the day.

Lane Closure – Louise Avenue

Beginning Monday evening, August 5, 2024, Xcel Energy will be closing the southbound left turn lane on South Louise Avenue, just north of West 85th Street, for utility potholing. This work will be done overnight, starting at 8 PM and finishing prior to the morning commute.

Potholing will continue Tuesday evening, August 6, 2024, Xcel will close the outside northbound lane on South Louise Avenue, just north of West 85th Street.  This work will be done overnight, starting at 8 PM and finishing prior to the morning commute.

Lane Closure – Fourth Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the two northbound lanes on North Fourth Avenue will be closed between East Amidon Street and East Maple Street to allow crews to perform concrete repairs. Northbound traffic will be shifted to allow for one lane of traffic in each direction.

Weather permitting, all work is expected to be completed within one week.

Lane Closure – 10th Street

Beginning on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the outside westbound lane of 10th Street will be closed to traffic from west of I-229 to Sycamore Avenue.  Eastbound traffic will be returned to two lanes, but the lanes will temporarily be uneven while work is occurring in the outside westbound lane.  Work includes utility improvements, concrete repairs, pavement milling and asphalt overlay.

Weather permitting, this phase of work is expected to be completed by early September.

The overall project is anticipated to be completed by mid-September.

Lane Closure – 10th & 11th Street

Revised Start Date

Beginning on Monday, August 12, 2024, the northern most lane on West 10th Street and West 11th Street will be closed at South Prairie Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete removals for curb repairs and accessible curb ramp improvements. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times on 10th Street and 11th Street.

This work is Phase One of the Traffic Signal, Pedestrian & Bicycle Improvements project, which is part of the 15th Street Bicycle Boulevard. Phase One of the project is expected to take two weeks, at which time traffic control will be switched and Phase Two will begin.

Phase Two of the project will close the southern portion of each intersection. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times on 10th Street and 11th Street.
