Street Closure – 18th Street

Beginning on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, West 18th Street will be closed between Dakota Avenue and Center Avenue.

Tull Companies will be replacing rooftop units for Touchmark. The work is expected to be complete in one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closures – 10th Street and Cleveland Avenue

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the northbound and southbound left turn lanes on South Cleveland Avenue will be closed at 10th Street to allow crews to work on traffic signal improvements.

Additionally, the inside eastbound and inside westbound lanes on East 10th Street, as well as the center turn lane, will be closed between I-229 and Sycamore Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete repairs and overlay the road.

Weather dependent, this work is anticipated to be complete in 2 - 3 weeks.

Street Closure – Fairfax Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, North Fairfax Avenue will be closed between East Eighth Street and East Ninth Street.

Hander Inc. & Plains Utilities & Excavating will be working on utilities. The work is expected to be complete in one week.

Utility Work – West of Sanford Hospital

Beginning on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, crews will be performing repairs to the sanitary sewer at various locations in the area bounded by West Avenue, Western Avenue, 18th Street, and 22nd Street. There will be intermittent short term lane restrictions, short term road closures, driveway access restrictions, and street parking restrictions as the work progresses.

Weather permitting, the repairs are anticipated to be complete within three weeks.
