Emergency Street Closure – Norton Avenue

Immediately, a portion of South Norton Ave, between West 26th Street and West 31st Street will closed due to a water main break.

City of Sioux Falls will be repairing the water main break as soon as locates are called in. All homes in the 1800 block to 2100 block of South Norton Ave have their water turned off.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – Grange Avenue

Beginning Thursday, September 14, 2023, the southbound left turn lane on South Grange Avenue just south of West 41st Street will be closed.

Black-Top Paving will be milling/overlay patching the entrance to Costco. The work is expected to be complete by Friday evening.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – 41st Street

Beginning Friday, September 15, 2023, the outside eastbound lane on West 41st Street will be closed east of South Sertoma Ave.

Black-Top Paving will be working on parking lot repairs for Scooter’s and Pizza Hut, which will remain open during the repairs. The work is expected to be complete before the end of the day Monday, September 19, 2023. Traffic Control will be pulled Friday prior to evening commute and reset Monday after the morning commute.

Lane Closure - Solberg Avenue

Beginning Friday, September 15, 2023, the outside northbound lane of South Solberg Avenue will be closed between West Valhalla Boulevard and West 49th Street to allow crews to perform sidewalk repairs.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be complete within one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Intersection Closure – Sixth Street and Weber Avenue

Beginning on Monday, September 18, 2023, the intersection of East Sixth Street and North Weber Avenue will be closed for street and utility construction.

Weber Avenue traffic will detour to Cliff Avenue via Eighth Street and Third Street. Access to Johnstone Supply will be maintained on Weber Avenue from Eighth Street. Access to LSS, Cherapa and Sioux Area Metro will be maintained on Weber Avenue from fifth Street.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of October.
