Call for Art: ArtAbility 2024 to Showcase Artists with Disabilities

Published on February 22, 2024

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: Art has a tremendous ability to transcend barriers, connect us in unique ways, and enhance our overall quality of life. It is in this spirit that the Sioux Falls Mayor’s Disability Awareness and Accessibility Review Board (DAARB) announces its 2024 ArtAbility Call for Art.

ArtAbility is a show that DAARB hosts for local artists with disabilities to showcase their work. These artists are encouraged to submit an entry form to participate by Friday, March 29, 2024. The DAARB’s goal is to remove barriers for individuals with disabilities while promoting universal accessibility.

The art will be displayed at the art show on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Underground by Rehfeld’s, located at 431 North Phillips Avenue in Sioux Falls. That evening, guests will also be treated to live music, refreshments, and art for sale.

In addition to DAARB, Independent Living Choices and ADA 30 Sioux Falls are also sponsors of the annual ArtAbility showcase.

The full Call for Art, entry form, and additional information can be found at www.siouxfalls.gov/artability.
