Sioux Falls, South Dakota: The Link, a cornerstone of support and hope in downtown Sioux Falls, celebrated a significant milestone with the completion of 10,000 triages since opening its doors three years ago. This achievement underscores The Link’s vital role in addressing the community’s health needs and providing compassionate assistance to individuals facing substance abuse challenges.

The Link has been a beacon of hope for thousands grappling with alcohol and drug issues. In its inaugural year alone, The Link facilitated over 4,000 triage encounters and aided more than 1,400 individuals on their journey towards recovery.

“To think that three years ago this facility didn’t exist, and now through collaboration with key partners, we have had multiple success stories where, because of the help they received, someone has gotten clean,” said Mayor Paul TenHaken. “This resource has sincerely changed lives.”

The establishment of The Link stemmed from a collaboration between the City of Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, Avera Health, and Sanford Health, showcasing a commitment to finding compassionate alternatives for individuals facing mental health and substance abuse challenges.

The Link operates 24/7, welcoming anyone in need without requiring appointments or insurance, ensuring accessibility and support for those in crisis. Individuals can walk into The Link’s location at 132 North Dakota Avenue or contact their team directly at (605) 275-1000 for immediate assistance or inquiries.
