Project Update 6/28/2024

  • Phase 1 – All watermain work has been completed. The contractor is working to stabilize and compact the side of the road where the watermain was installed before the road can be completed. Unfortunately, the large amount of rainfall we have received over the last few weeks has slowed progress. Once the grade is stabilized and compacted, gravel will be installed to get ready for the curb and gutter repairs and asphalt paving. Depending on the weather, Phase 1 is expected to be finished in mid-to-late July.
  • Phase 2 – Work began on June 6. Asphalt has been removed and the sanitary sewer repair work completed. The contractor is currently working on installing storm drainage pipe and structures, and will be installing the new watermain toward the end of the month. Residents will be given 24-hour notice of temporary water shutoff so the contractor can connect temporary water lines to maintain resident water service during the watermain replacement. Unfortunately, the large amount of rainfall we have received over the last few weeks has slowed progress.
