Dog Parks
Sioux Falls has a well-established system of municipal off-leash dog parks managed by the City of Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Department. The city dog parks are free to use and offer amenities like picnic tables, trash receptacles, and pet waste bag dispensers
General Rules for City Dog Parks:

Open Hours: The dog parks are open dawn to dusk unless otherwise noted. Each park has posted rules.

Leash Required: Dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the designated off-leash areas

Waste Removal: Owners are required to clean up after their pets

Maintenance Closures: The city parks typically close for maintenance on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (April through October).

Dog Limit: Only bring a maximum of two dogs per individual.

- Stay with your dog.
- Please limit to a maximum of 2 dogs per individual.
- Keep dogs in designated areas.
- Obey City ordinances by cleaning up after your dog.
- Have proof of license and immunizations.
- Report any dog bites, attacks, and injuries to Sioux Falls Animal Control at 605-367-7222.
*Patrons could be removed from the park if they are unable to keep their dog under control.

- Don't bring puppies that are less than 4 months old or dogs that are aggressive, ill, or in heat.
- Don't allow dogs to dig holes.
- Don't bring dogs that are not properly licensed or immunized.
- Don't leave items unattended at the park. They will be removed.

Any person who brings a dog into the dog off-leash area assumes the legal responsibility, jointly and severally with the owner of the dog, for any damage, disease, or injury to persons, other dogs, or property caused by the dog.
All persons using the dog off-leash area, by entering the area, agree to indemnify the City of Sioux Falls and hold the City of Sioux Falls harmless for any harm resulting from the use of the dog off-leash area.
