New Facility Upgrades! The Racquetball Courts and Aerobic Floor will be closed April 21st - May 5th for sanding, refinishing, and coating. The Basketball Gym will close May 5th for sanding, refinishing, and painting, reopening by May 28th. Year-round Recreation for Everyone

The Westside Recreation Center is dedicated to supporting community well-being through recreation. From fitness and indoor sports (basketball, volleyball, pickleball) to swimming with slides and a dedicated indoor kids' play area, the Westside Recreation Center offers something for everyone, all year long.

Passes

Flexible pricing options are available for families, seniors and more, with no cancellation fees! Reduced-income passes available for Sioux Falls residents who actively receive reduced or free school lunches, or actively receive Medicaid benefits.

Programs and Classes

From group fitness and group swim lessons to programs for kids and families and senior programs, we offer something for everyone. Children must be accompanied by an individual 14 years of age or older.

Indoor Play Area

New! Our indoor play area offers a fun and safe environment for children 7 and under! This space has seven mini structures and a small gym attached with basketball hoops so it’s perfect for those looking to enjoy active and indoor fun-no matter the season. Food is allowed only in the open seating area, all children must be supervised by an adult pass holder.

Indoor Aquatics

Our indoor pool features slides, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. There’s access to full-amenity locker rooms. Children under 7 need adult supervision. Swimsuits and swim diapers are required. Follow posted height and safety guidelines.

Fitness Area

We have a variety of weight and cardio equipment for all types of exercise, plus an indoor walking track and group fitness studios. Children ages 12 and older can use the workout area and track. Children ages 12 and older have full access to the fitness floor and track, while those 10-11 years old may use the fitness floor with parental supervision, and children under 10 are restricted from the fitness floor but may use the track with a parent, all children under 12 must be supervised by a guardian or in a class. All equipment must be sanitized before and after use.

Sport Courts

The Westside Recreation Center has indoor courts for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and more. It has one outdoor court and two racquetball courts. An adult must supervise children under 7. Follow court etiquette and wear proper attire. Only water is allowed on courts.
