Tattoo shops and the artists who work in them must be licensed by the city and state, according to City Ordinance Chapter 122. All body-art studios are inspected by the state to ensure a clean and safe environment in compliance with sanitation laws.
Chapter 122 of the City of Sioux Falls Code of Ordinances governs tattoo licensure for tattoo artists and establishments.
Have a copy of your identification, such as a driver's license or government-issued ID, ready to upload as proof of age. Individual applicants must also provide their height, weight, eye color, hair color, and sex.
