Jodi Fick

Director of Siouxland Libraries

Jodi has served Siouxland Libraries as director since 2017. As director she oversees the following:

• Library services at 13 locations in Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County,
• Bookmobile and outreach services.

She has been with the library since 1995, serving in the roles of Senior Librarian, Assistant Director, and Director. Prior to working for the City, Jodi was assistant director for Minnehaha County Rural Public Library and a library assistant at Augustana University.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Augustana University and a Master of Library Science from Emporia State University, Kansas.

PROFESSIONAL PASSION: “Improving children’s literacy rates.”

BEST PART OF MY JOB: “It’s when I can find a better way―whether that is improving understanding or increased efficiency.”

PERSONAL INTERESTS: “Traveling, both regionally and internationally, reading and discussing interesting books―especially nonfiction―and helping my farmer husband inspire others to practice regenerative farming.”
