2024 Façade Easement Program

The Façade Easement Program is a redevelopment tool designed to support economic development, historic preservation, neighborhood revitalization, and community beautification through the restoration of building façades. The program has helped increase property values and revitalize over 40 buildings in the heart of Sioux Falls since its inception in 2002.

“The City’s Façade Easement Program has been incredibly popular for many years, and its funding has helped restore and maintain our community’s history,” said Adam Roach, Urban Planner for the City of Sioux Falls. “We look forward to another year for this program and seeing the inspiring projects it generates.”

City of Sioux Falls Planning and Development Services announces that the program has been funded with a $100,000 appropriation, and the application period is now open for 2024 façade easement projects. The application deadline is Friday, April 5, 2024. Program information and applications are available online at www.siouxfalls.gov/business-permits/development-projects/building-services/facade.
