Street Closure – 264th Street

Beginning on Monday, December 9, 2024, 264th Street will be closed west of Ellis Road up to Skunk Creek to allow construction crews to proceed with the installation of a sanitary sewer.

The closure is expected to extend through spring of 2025. Access to residences and businesses will be via temporary road.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and to use signed detour routes.

Downtown Bike Trail

Beginning on Monday, December 9, 2024, construction traffic will affect the downtown bike trail between Cliff Avenue and Falls Park. Crews will be conducting river silt removal work in the work area. Construction traffic will be driving on and around the trail. While pedestrian traffic will be maintained throughout the project, pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the work zone.

Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed in approximately one month.
