Street Closure – Sycamore Avenue
Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, North Sycamore Avenue will be closed between Producer Lane and 60th Street North. Traffic will be detoured on Velocity Avenue and Producer Lane. Runge Enterprises is installing new underground utilities.
This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on July 11, 2025.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – 12th Street
Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the outside eastbound lane of West 12th Street will be closed just west of Ellis Road to allow crews to bore a casing pipe under 12th Street. This work is anticipated to be completed in approximately two weeks.

Lane Closure – 12th Street
Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the outside eastbound lane on West 12th Street will be closed at Sertoma Avenue and Valley View Road to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramps and signal improvements at these intersections.
This work is part of the overall asphalt overlay project along 12th Street between Ellis Road and Marion Road. This phase of the work is anticipated to take approximately two weeks. The overall project will be completed in September 2025.

Lane Closure – Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the outside southbound lane of South Minnesota Avenue will be closed between 11th Street and 14th Street to allow crews to complete sidewalk improvements.
This is the seventh of eight phases of the project, which includes sidewalk improvements on both sides of 41st Street from Western Avenue to Westport Avenue, and on Minnesota Avenue from 11th Street to 18th Street.
The entire project is anticipated to be completed by August 2025.

Street Closure - Sycamore Avenue
Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, North Sycamore Avenue will be closed between Producer Lane and 60th Street North to allow crews to perform underground utility work. Motorists should utilize Producer Lane, Wilcox Drive, and Velocity Avenue as an alternate route.
This work is anticipated to be completed in approximately one week. Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure - Veterans Parkway
Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the outside northbound lane closure currently in place on Veterans Parkway between Sixth Street and Madison Street will be extended north of Madison Street to Maple Street to allow crews to continue to install sanitary sewer force main pipe.
The recreation trail along Veterans Parkway in this area remains closed. This work between Madison Street and Maple Street is anticipated to be completed in approximately six weeks. The entire project is anticipated to be completed in November 2025.

Street Closure – 26th Street
Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, East 26th Street will be closed between Veterans Parkway and Six Mile Road to allow crews to rehabilitate a box culvert drainage crossing.
Motorists should follow the signed detour via Veterans Parkway, 41st Street and Six Mile Road.
This work is anticipated to be completed and 26th Street reopened to traffic by the beginning of August 2025.

- Slow down and eliminate distractions when you are in a construction zone.
- Plan ahead, leave early, and consider an alternate route.
Street Closure – Industrial Area
Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, the following streets will be temporarily closed to traffic and parking: Cherokee Street between B Avenue and D Avenue, Elkhorn Street, M Avenue, Blackhawk Street, A Avenue, Delaware Street, and Frontage Road.
The City of Sioux Falls Street Division along with the contractor will be applying a Slurry Seal.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed by 8:00 p.m., July 7, 2025.
