Street Construction Updates & Closures

Street Closure – 18th Street

Beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, West 18th Street will be closed between Prairie Avenue and Summit Avenue. Traffic will be detoured onto West 17th Street.

City of Sioux Falls Light and Power crews are installing a new power pole. This work is expected to be completed by noon the same day.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
