Pile Driving at South Veterans Parkway Construction Site
Beginning the week of Monday, August 18, 2025, the contractor will be driving piles into the ground on the east side of the railroad tracks, which may cause additional noise in the construction area. Pile driving has been ongoing since late July, with work on the west side of the railroad tracks being completed last week. Construction crews are currently building the bridge over the BNSF railroad between Cliff Avenue and Southeastern Avenue, and the piles will support the weight of the structure.
This work is part of the construction of the second segment of South Veterans Parkway from Cliff Avenue to Sycamore Avenue. Construction on this section of the new road began in April 2025 and will continue through 2026.
