Street Construction Updates & Closures

Street Closure – 469th Avenue

Beginning on Monday, November 3, 2025, 469th Avenue will be closed from 57th Street to 65th Street. Southbound traffic will detour onto South Galway Avenue and West 65th Street. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto West 65th Street and South Galway Avenue.

The City of Sioux Falls Street Division will be paving the roadway. This work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – 41st Street

Beginning on Monday, November 3, 2025, the outside eastbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed east of Ellis Road to allow the contractor to complete concrete repairs.

Weather permitting, the repairs are expected to be completed in one week.

Lane Closure – Ellis Road

Beginning on Monday, November 3, 2025, the outside northbound lane of South Ellis Road will be closed south of 22nd Street to allow the contractor to complete concrete repairs.

Weather permitting, the repairs are expected to be completed in one week.

Lane Closure – 41st Street

Beginning on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the outside westbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed west of Purdue Avenue to allow the contractor to complete concrete repairs.

Weather permitting, the repairs are expected to be completed in one week.

Sidewalk Closure – 42nd Street and Alpine Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the sidewalk along the north side of East 42nd Street will be closed at Alpine Avenue to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp repairs. Pedestrians will be detoured to the south side of 42nd Street while the work is occurring.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed in one week.

Sidewalk Closure – Sugar Leaf Lane

Beginning on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the sidewalk along the west side of North Sugar Leaf Lane will be closed between Mystic Drive and Willow Leaf Street to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp repairs. Pedestrians will be detoured to the east side of Sugar Leaf Lane while the work is occurring.
