Street Closure – 26th Street and Ninth Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, the westbound lane of East 26th Street will be closed between South Ninth Avenue to South 10th Avenue. Westbound traffic will be shifted into the center turn lane.  South Ninth Street will also be closed to through traffic between East 24th Street and East 26th Street.

City of Sioux Falls Water Maintenance crews are making road repairs following a water main leak.

This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
