Extended Sidewalk Closure –Minnesota Avenue
The east sidewalk on South Minnesota Avenue between West 33rd Street and West 31st Street will remain closed. Pedestrian traffic is detoured to the east along South Dakota Avenue.
Journey Construction is doing building renovations.
The work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed on April 30, 2026.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Minnesota Avenue Construction
Beginning on Monday, March 2, 2026, there will be intermittent lane closures along North Minnesota Avenue to allow the installation of temporary traffic signals at West Second Street and West Sixth Street in preparation for the upcoming street and utility reconstruction project.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning March 9, 2026. Work will start on the east side of Minnesota Avenue and access to side streets within the construction zone will be limited.

Lane and Sidewalk Closure – South Marion Road
Beginning on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., there will be outside lane closures on South Marion Road between West 25th Street and Lake Shore Boulevard for both directions of travel. The west sidewalk will be closed between West Berkshire Boulevard and West 26th Street. Pedestrian traffic will be flagged for.
Xcel Energy will be doing utility work.
The work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by March 5, 2026 by the end of the day.
