Lane Closures – Intersections of 26th Street and 41st Street at Veterans Parkway
Beginning on Monday, April 6, 2026, the outside lanes at the intersections of 26th Street and 41st Street with Veterans Parkway will be closed to allow crews to complete concrete pavement and curb and gutter repairs.
At a minimum, one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. In the upcoming weeks, the location of the lane closures at these intersections will vary. Access to businesses, homes and side streets will be maintained.
Repairs at these intersections are anticipated to be completed in early May. Construction activities along Veterans Parkway between 26th Street and 41st Street will be ongoing through July 2026.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – Kiwanis Avenue
Beginning on Monday, April 6, 2026, the southbound lane of South Kiwanis Avenue will be closed between 41st Street and 49th Street to allow crews to perform storm drainage work. Southbound traffic will be maintained in the center turn lane.
This work is expected to be completed in approximately 2 weeks.

Street Closure – Marion Road
Beginning on Monday, April 6, 2026, North Marion Road will be closed from Memory Lane to 84th Street North to allow crews to begin improvements which include new water main, storm sewer, box culvert, bridge, concrete paving, and street lighting.
The closure is expected to extend through September of 2027.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and to use signed detour routes.
Lane and Sidewalk Closure – 10th Street
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the south outside lane on East 10th Street will be closed between First Avenue and Phillips Avenue. Parking will not be available, and the south sidewalk will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the north sidewalk.
MidAmerican Energy Company will be excavating for utility work. This work is expected to be completed by Friday, April 10, 2026. Traffic control will be removed by the end of the day.
