Lane Closure - Veterans Parkway
Beginning on Monday, May 4, 2026, the east leg of the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Maple Street will be closed to allow for a small area of asphalt paving at the intersection.
Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed within 4 working days.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Intersection Closure - North M Avenue and W Cherokee Street
Beginning on Monday, May 4, 2026, the intersection of North M Avenue and W Cherokee Street will be closed to allow crews to work on sanitary sewer improvements in the Industrial Park area.
Weather permitting, work for this phase of the project is anticipated to be completed within four weeks.

Lane Closure – West 12th Street
Beginning Monday, May 4, 2026, the eastbound and westbound outside lanes of the West 12th Street bridge near Grange Avenue will be closed to allow crews to complete bridge repairs.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction until late May, at which time one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction for three weeks. Work on the bridge is anticipated to be completed in late June 2026.

Utility Work – Spellerberg Park Area
Beginning on Monday, May 4, 2026, crews will be performing repairs to the sanitary sewer at various locations between South West Avenue and South Western Avenue, and between West 22nd Street and West 26th Street. There will be intermittent short-term lane restrictions, short-term street closures, and driveway access restrictions as the work progresses.
The repairs are expected to be completed within three weeks.

Lane Closure – Louise Avenue
Beginning on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the outside southbound lane of Louise Avenue will be closed between 49th Street & 53rd Street to allow crews to complete sidewalk improvements. One lane of southbound traffic will be maintained in the inside southbound lane. Northbound traffic will no longer be impacted.
This is the last of two phases of the project, which includes sidewalk improvements on both sides of Louise Avenue from 49th Street to 53rd Street. The entire project is anticipated to be completed by the end of May.

Sidewalk Closure – S Dakota Avenue
Beginning on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the sidewalk along the east side of South Dakota Avenue will be closed between West 11th Street and the west entrance of the Washington Pavilion to allow crews to perform work associated with the Washington Pavilion Garage Expansion project. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the sidewalk on the west side of South Dakota Avenue.
The project is anticipated to be completed by October 2026.
