Beginning at 8:30 am on Monday, May 4, 2026, the East Tenth Street viaduct will be reduced to one lane of westbound traffic between Franklin Avenue and Second Avenue.
City of Sioux Falls Light & Power crews will have the southernmost two lanes closed intermittently to inspect and perform maintenance to the light poles on the bridge.
The work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on May 5, 2026.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
