Beginning on Thursday, May 21, 2026, Arrowhead Parkway will be closed between Veterans Parkway and Highline Avenue to allow construction crews to begin reconstruction on the west side of the Arrowhead Parkway and Veterans Parkway intersection. Arrowhead Parkway east of Veterans Parkway will be open to traffic. Veterans Parkway will remain open, however, will switch to the new northbound lanes.
Motorists should utilize Veterans Parkway, Six Mile Road, or Sycamore Avenue to either Madison Street, 26th Street or 41st Street as alternate routes.
This closure of Arrowhead Parkway west of Veterans Parkway is anticipated through late fall.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
