Beginning immediately on Wednesday, July 9, 2026, the outside southbound lane of South Marion Road will be closed between 16th Street and 18th Street. The west sidewalk could be closed, and pedestrian traffic may be detoured.
MidAmerican Energy will be repairing a gas leak. This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on Friday, July 17, 2026.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
