Parking and Sidewalk Closure - 18th Street, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Avenue

Beginning on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the parking lanes along East 18th Street near the intersections of First, Second, Third, and Fourth Avenue will be closed to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp repairs. 

The sidewalk on the north side of 18th Street will also be closed during this work. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured around the work zone.

Weather permitting, work on the north side is anticipated to be completed in approximately two weeks. Once that is completed, work will shift to the south side for approximately two weeks.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane and Sidewalk Closure – 57th Street and Stone Pointe Circle

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, the eastbound outside lane of East 57th Street will be closed between Lewis Avenue and the railroad overpass. 

Stone Pointe Circle will be restricted to one stop-controlled lane, and the east sidewalk will be closed, and pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the west sidewalk. 

VerCom will be staging for water storage improvements.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on July 17, 2026.
