Street and Sidewalk Closure – North Main Avenue Postponed

The street and sidewalk closures on North Main Avenue and West Eighth Street originally scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, have been postponed.  An additional press release will be issued when a new date for the closure has been confirmed.

Street Closure – 271st Street (Highway 106)

The overnight closure of 271st Street (Lincoln County Highway 106) originally scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, has been postponed to Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Beginning on Sunday, September 27, 271st Street (Lincoln County Highway 106) will be closed between Minnesota Avenue and Cliff Avenue from 8:00 pm – 6:00 am to allow crews to perform excavation work and install traffic control.

Westbound and eastbound traffic on 271st Street should utilize 85th Street or Veterans Parkway as alternate routes. Northbound and southbound traffic will remain open on Cliff Avenue and Minnesota Avenue.

This work is anticipated to be complete and reopened to traffic by 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning, September 28, 2026.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
