The Garfield Neighborhood Association encompasses the area from 12th Street to 18th Street and Kiwanis to Western Avenue. The neighborhood consists of single and multi-family homes, churches, businesses and a school. By harnessing the diversity of the community we are able to develop neighbor relationships and pro-actively address concerns and improvements that are critical to the vitality of a neighborhood. Neighbors are invested in the appearance and safety of our neighborhood. We meet every other month and send out reminder flyers prior to the meetings. St.John Lutheran Church has provided a meeting place for us and is an active participant in our meetings and neighborhood events. We have a neighborhood clean-up in the Spring and Fall and a car show pot luck event in the summer. An involved neighborhood is an integral asset to a healthy, safe city.
