Project Update 5/2/2024

• Project was bid April 18, 2024 and ASCO from Sioux Falls was read low at $2,544,126.50. Anticipated project start date of May 28th.
• A Public Open House is planned for May 20^th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Axtell Park Middle School, 201 N. West Avenue, to discuss any concerns regarding the project. A letter will also be sent out to the property owners prior to the Open House.  

Commuter Route Information:

*A Press Release will be issued prior to the closure of Phase 1 along 10^th Street from West Avenue to Menlo Avenue

• Phase 1 – 10^th Street will be closed from West Avenue to Euclid Avenue. Detour will be 9^th Street or 12^th Street.  Pedestrian access will always be available on one side of the street.
• Phase 2 – 10^th Street will be closed from Euclid Avenue to Menlo Avenue.  Detour will be 9^th Street or 12^th Street.  Pedestrian access will always be available on one side of the street.
• Phase 3 – Covell Avenue will be closed from 11^th Street to 10^th Street.  Detour will be either Lake Avenue or Euclid Avenue.  Pedestrian access will always be available on one side of the street.
• Phase 4 – Menlo Avenue wil be closed from 10^th Street to 9^th Street.  Detour will be either Walts Avenue or Grange Avenue. Pedestrian access will always be available on one side of the street.
