Intersection Overview

Project Update 6/28/2024

  • Work on the south half of the intersection improvments was completed on June 24, 2024.  The contractor moved traffic control to the north side of the intersection and completed the concrete fillet, ADA ramp, and sidewalk removals on the north half of the intersection on June 26, 2024.  The City of Sioux Falls is anticipating a completion date in late July of 2024 for the remaining fillet, sidewalk, and ADA ramp work.  Installation of the traffic signal is scheduled for spring of 2025 due to long equipment lead times.

Commuter Route Information

  • The outside westbound lane of 57th Street is closed between South Sycamore Avenue and South Graystone Avenue.  A sidewalk closure is in place along the north side of 57th Street between Bahnson Avenue and Sycamore Avenue with pedestrians detoured to the sidewalk along the south side of 57th Street.
