Project Update: 04/28/2025

  • Construction has begun.  Currently the southbound lanes of Cliff Avenue between the Big Sioux River Bridge and Tomar Road are closed, with northbound and southbound traffic utilizing the two northbound lanes of Cliff Avenue.
  • The contractor is saw cutting and removing damaged concrete from the repair areas, setting forms and placing concrete.  To avoid saw slurry from contaminating the areas being worked on, the contractor began at Tomar Road, the top of the hill and is working downhill to the north.

Commuter Route Information

  • Lane closures are in place.  At a minimum, one lane of traffic will remain open in both directions at all times.  Access to businesses, parks and homes will be maintained.  Access to side streets will be maintained if possible.
