Project Update: 05/4/2026

  • Work has started on a new bridge over the railroad tracks on Marion Road between Memory Lane and 84th Street North/259th Street. The contractor is currently working on clearing the site, removing the topsoil, and doing other preliminary work.
  • Work on water main installation and installation of rammed aggregate piers will begin soon. The rammed aggregate piers are essentially compacted stone or rock columns that need to be installed to support the weight of the earth embankment that will eventually be brought in to raise the roadway up so a bridge can be constructed over the BNSF railroad tracks.
  • Marion Road is closed between Memory Lane and 84th Street North/259th Street. Work on this project is expected to be complete in late 2027.
