Swimming Lessons Lottery System
What is it?
Our swimming lesson lottery is designed to fairly place swimmers into high-demand classes. Instead of racing to register, you simply rank your preferred class times, and the lottery handles the rest. Registration for lessons needs to be done online and during the assigned times for each pool. Refer to the posted dates and times listed under the Indoor/Outdoor Pool tabs below.
How it works
- Select your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices for swimming lesson times.
- Once the lottery closes, participants are then randomly assigned a spot based on lesson preferences and availability.
- If your first choice is full, the lottery will attempt to place you in your next preferred option.
- If you are not chosen for any of your selections, you will be placed automatically on the wait list for your first choice.
Families & Multiple Swimmers
When signing up for swimming lesson lotteries, you can choose between two enrollment options: Individual Lottery Enrollment and Linked Lottery Enrollments.
- Individual Enrollment treats each swimmer’s registration as a separate entry into the lottery.
- Linked Enrollments will group multiple swimmers from the same household into one shared entry.

Important to know
- Each participant can only be placed in one class per lottery group.
- Placement is random and not first-come, first-serve.
Lottery Process
The Lottery randomly draws and provides two possible statuses for participants:
Winner: It is very important to understand you will be sent an email offering enrollment. The email will be sent one day after the registration process closes. Your registration email must be valid, and you will have 24 hours to accept the enrollment and pay online from the time the email is sent. Please check your email frequently.
Waitlisted: All participants who are not drawn will automatically be placed on the waitlist for their first choice. They will become eligible for enrollment if space becomes available.

The enrollment offers can either be accepted or rejected, and if not accepted before the expiration date, they will expire. Once expired, the spot will be offered to a participant on the waitlist.
