Goals of the Plan

The Arts and Cultural Plan will:

• Assess the current arts and cultural landscape, including existing organizations, facilities, and programs;
• Engage residents, artists, cultural groups, and leaders to identify priorities, challenges, and opportunities for strengthening arts and culture in Sioux Falls;
• Develop a unifying vision and measurable strategic goals for the next decade.
• Recommend policies, programs, and investments to strengthen Sioux Falls’ cultural ecosystem;
• Provide an implementation framework with clear actions, timelines, and potential funding sources.

Project Milestones

1. September: Initial planning and kick-off
2. October: Ongoing Community and stakeholder engagement begins
3. November - December: Data collection and analysis
4. January - February: Vision and strategic goal development
5. March - April: Recommendations and action plan
6. May: Final report and presentation
