The Barb Iverson Skate Plaza, named in memory of a popular middle school teacher who died from cancer in 2021, is a partnership between The City of Sioux Falls and the nonprofit Let’s Skate.

Key Features:

  • At 20,000 square feet, the park is one of the largest in the country.
  • It features a flow bowl area with spaces designed for skateboarders of all abilities, including an advanced section, a rock terrace feature, a street plaza lane, and grind rails.
  • The new skate Plaza is designed to be accessible and inclusive for skaters of all ages and abilities. The park caters to both recreational and competitive skateboarding, elevating the sport in Sioux Falls. The skatepark provides a dedicated space for skateboarding, promoting physical activity and fostering a sense of community.
