Prime Bidder/General Contractor and Subcontractor Listing

The City of Sioux Falls provides a public interest list for every project. Use this tool to list your company as an interested Prime Bidder / General Contractor or Subcontractor so that other firms can connect with you for partnership opportunities.

1. Locate the Project

Log in to the online Procurement Portal (Bonfire). Under the Open Public Opportunities tab, find your project and click View Opportunity.

2. Access the Interest Form

Scroll to the very bottom of the project details page. Locate the section titled Submissions and Prime/Subcontractor Interest and select the Prime/Subcontractor Form tab.

3. Identify Your Role

Your contact details will pre-fill automatically. Simply complete these two fields:

  • • Service(s) Offered: Type your specialty (e.g., "General Contractor," "Asphalt Paving," or "Electrical").
  • • Contractor Type: Choose Subcontractor (includes Suppliers) or Prime/General Contractor.

Click Submit to add your name to the list.

* If information is missing or in error, check your profile settings and make any additions or corrections there.

4. View the Public List

Once submitted, the page will refresh. You can view all interested firms in the Interested Contractors section located just above the form. You can toggle between the "Prime" and "Subcontractor" headings to see different entries.

Quick Tips

  • Visibility: These listings are public and available to all vendors.
  • Profile Updates: To change your phone number or email, go to your Profile Settings (top right).
  • Withdrawal: You can update or remove your interest at any time before the bid deadline.
