Sioux Falls Navy Week

Join us as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States Navy with history, music, and inspiration, right here at Jacobson Plaza!  

This family-friendly event is a unique opportunity to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation at sea for two and a half centuries.

 

• USS Constitution – Sailors in period-specific uniforms from the oldest commissioned warship afloat will be on hand for rope tying demos and history lessons.
• History and Heritage – A professional staff of historians, archivists, librarians, and museum specialists will be on hand to discuss the Navy’s 250 years.
• Naval STEM – STEM presentations, displays, and lessons.
• The Navy Band will hold a performance on the green turf
• The Navy Ceremonial Guard will be on hand for live performances throughout the morning
• Hometown Sailors – Have a chance to meet and talk with sailors who grew up in Sioux Falls.
