James Oppenheimer has lived in Sioux Falls since 2008 with his wife, Marisa, and their 2 children, Henry and Gemma. Originally from Watford, Hertfordshire, England, James moved to the United States in 2000 and later graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in International Business.
For the past 10 years, James has worked in non‑profit leadership, currently serving as the CEO of the Sioux Falls Family YMCA. His previous non‑profit experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society and as the Director of Business Operations at Dakota Alliance Soccer Club. James also coached at Dakota Alliance Soccer Club as well as in various high school and college coaching roles for over 15 years, positively impacting hundreds of youth soccer players.
James remains committed to continuing to make Sioux Falls a welcoming, affordable, and safe city where families can thrive.
