Big Sioux River Greenway Cleanup: Volunteer Opportunities

The 2026 Big Sioux River Greenway Cleanup, the largest litter-removal event in Sioux Falls, took place on Saturday, April 25. Over 492 volunteers participated in removing 4,520 pounds of litter from the trails and banks along the river.

This event represents a wonderful opportunity to give back, celebrate our community, and keep our waterways clean. Each year, tons of trash are removed from the greenways — but we can’t do it without you.
