Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)

A fuel made by compressing natural gas (mainly methane) into tanks to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure. CNG is commonly used as an alternative fuel for vehicles such as buses, taxis, and fleet cars, and it emits lower levels of carbon monoxide compared to traditional fuels.
