Learn About Our Spray Program

What We Do

Our Mosquito Control team actively manages mosquito populations by treating larvae in standing water and monitoring adult mosquitoes with traps. If traps show high numbers or specific types of mosquitos, particularly those testing positive for West Nile virus, we spray affected areas during peak mosquito activity to control their spread.

We only spray when it’s warmer than 55°F, with calm winds and no rain to be most effective. Our trucks use ultra-low-volume (ULV) sprayers that release a fine mist, reaching about 300 feet, roughly the length of a football field, so you won’t see us go down every street.

What You Can Do

The spray we use is carefully tested, EPA-approved, and safe for people, pets, and the environment. However, if you feel you have a medical concern, you can request to be excluded from spraying. To check your spray zone or get text alerts when we’re spraying near you, use our Interactive Spray Zone Map. If you have questions, our team is always here to help
