Street Closure – 60th Street North

Beginning on Wednesday, July 3, 2025, West 60th Street North will be closed to traffic between Minnesota Avenue and Westport Avenue.
The City of Sioux Falls Street Division will be doing road maintenance work.

This work is anticipated to be completed by early to midafternoon.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – Industrial Area

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, the following streets will be temporarily closed to traffic and parking: Cherokee Street, Elkhorn Street, M Avenue, and Blackhawk Street.

The City of Sioux Falls Street Division along with the contractor will be applying a Slurry Seal. Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed by 8:00 p.m., July 3, 2025.

Lane Closure – Minnesota Avenue

Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the outside southbound lane of South Minnesota Avenue will be closed between 24th Street and 25th Street. Soukup Construction will be removing an underground storage tank.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on July 18, 2025.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – Louise Avenue

Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the inside southbound lane of South Louise Avenue will be closed for approximately 300 feet to the south of 85th Street. Q3 Contracting will be replacing a concrete panel.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on July 11, 2025.

Lane Closure – Kiwanis Avenue

Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the outside northbound lane of North Kiwanis Avenue will be closed for approximately 300 feet near 6th Street. Telcom Construction will be making utility repairs.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on July 11, 2025.

Lane Closures – Cliff Avenue

Beginning on Monday, July 7, 2025, the southbound lanes of South Cliff Avenue will be closed between 26th Street and 38th Street to allow crews to perform diamond grinding on the concrete pavement. One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions in the northbound lanes of Cliff Avenue through this work zone.

In the upcoming weeks, the location of the lane closures on Cliff Avenue will vary between 26th Street and 38th Street. At a minimum, one lane of traffic in each direction will always remain open. Access to side streets, businesses, parks, and homes will be maintained.

This work is anticipated to be completed within two weeks.

Lane Closure – Cliff Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the outside northbound lane of South Cliff Avenue will be closed for approximately 300 feet near 21st Street. Parking will also be restricted on 21st Street east of Cliff Avenue. MidAmerican Energy will be performing utility work.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on July 11, 2025.
