Street Closure Update – 85th Street

The street closure on West 85th Street between Louise Avenue and Meredith Avenue has been extended. Traffic will continue to detour onto 69th Street until 85th Street is re-opened.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on September 6, 2025.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closures – Cavalier Avenue and Liberator Circle

Beginning on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, originally scheduled for September 2, 2025, the intersection of South Cavalier Avenue and Liberator Circle will be reduced to a single lane on both streets. There will be a flagger in place to maintain traffic through the intersection.

Johnson Dirt Works will be making a new utility connection.

This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on September 4, 2025.

Lane Closure – Ellis Road

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, the outside northbound lane of South Ellis Road will be closed between 22nd Street and West 26th Street.

Short Excavating will be digging adjacent to the roadway.

This work is anticipated to be completed, and traffic control will be removed by 4:00 p.m. on the same day.
