Lane and Sidewalk Closure – 20th Street

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the westbound lane of East 20th Street will be shifted to the center of the street from Cliff Avenue to Seventh Avenue. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Parking and sidewalk along the north side of East 20th Street will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the south sidewalk.

First Rate Excavate will be doing utility work. This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

 

Lane and Sidewalk Closure – Minnesota Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, the outside northbound lane and east sidewalk of North Minnesota Avenue will be closed between Ninth Street and Eighth Street. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the west sidewalk.

Soukup Construction will be doing construction and staging. This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

 

Sidewalk Closure – Eighth Street and Phillips Avenue

Beginning on Thursday, October 9, 2025, the accessible curb ramp on the southwest corner of East Eighth Street and North Phillips Avenue will be closed to allow contractors to perform accessible curb ramp repairs. Pedestrians will be detoured around the work zone.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed within a few days.

Sidewalk Closures – Downtown Bus Depot

Beginning on Thursday, October 9, 2025, portions of the accessible curb ramps at the Downtown Bus Depot will be closed to allow contractors to perform accessible curb ramp repairs. Pedestrians will be detoured around the work zone.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed within a few days.
