2025 Community Survey Now Open to the Public

Published on October 10, 2025

The National Community Survey™ (The NCS), led by the Sioux Falls City Council and used to measure how residents rank the “livability” of Sioux Falls, is now available online for all Sioux Falls residents to complete.

“We strongly encourage everyone to participate,” said Jennifer Sigette, City Council Vice Chair. “The more responses we receive, the better data we’ll have to guide city government decisions. This is a valuable opportunity for our community to share their perspectives and help shape the future of Sioux Falls.”

The NCS was first sent last month to 3,000 randomly selected residents to provide feedback on city services and overall quality of life. This method produces statistically valid survey results. Now, the survey is available online to all residents to provide a broader opportunity for community input.

Sioux Falls last conducted The NCS in 2023. The survey focuses on community livability and includes questions about quality of life, local policies, and satisfaction with city services. The results will help City leaders evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement, and set priorities for future programs and investments.

Survey results will be made publicly available on the City’s website upon completion and analysis.

The National Community Survey™ is developed by the National Research Center at Polco and is used by cities across the country to gather statistically valid resident feedback.
