Street Construction Updates & Closures

Lane Restriction and Sidewalk Closure – 18th Street
Work that began on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. has been extended. The westbound lane of West 18th Street will be shifted towards the center of the street from Grange Avenue to West Avenue. Two-way traffic will be maintained, and the north sidewalk will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the south sidewalk.
Asphalt Surfacing Company will be doing approach work.
This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on October 24, 2025.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – Veterans Parkway
Beginning on Monday, October 20, 2025, the inside southbound lane of Veterans Parkway will be closed north of the intersection of Madison Street and Veterans Parkway to allow the contractor to complete concrete repairs.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately one week.

Sidewalk Closure – Mandy Avenue
Beginning on Monday, October 20, 2025, the sidewalk on the east side of South Mandy Avenue will be closed at Darcie Street and Rebecca Street to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp repairs. Pedestrians will be detoured to the sidewalk on the west side of Mandy Avenue.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately one week.

Lane and Sidewalk Closure - 69th Street and Solberg Avenue
Beginning on Monday, October 20, 2025, the right turn lane and north sidewalk on West 69th Street will be closed at Solberg Avenue to allow crews to perform accessible curb ramp repairs. Right turns will be allowed from the through lane. Pedestrians will be detoured around the work zone.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed in approximately one week.

Lane and Sidewalk Closure – Cliff Avenue
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the southbound outside lane of South Cliff Avenue between 57th Street and 61st Street will be closed. The west sidewalk will be closed, and pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the east sidewalk.
Brooks Construction will be doing approach work.
The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the day on October 28, 2025.
