Lane Closures – Bridge Inspections

Beginning on Thursday, October 23, 2025, several bridges in the Sioux Falls area are slated for regularly scheduled bi-annual inspections.  This work will entail lane closures to allow crews to perform bridge deck delamination surveys.  Traffic will be maintained through the work zone.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is as follows:

Thursday AM, October 23

·       River Boulevard bridge west of Southeastern Avenue

Thursday PM, October 23

·       Cliff Avenue bridge south of I-229

Friday AM, October 24

·       Cliff Avenue bridge north of 14th Street

Friday PM, October 24

·       Cliff Avenue bridge south of Chambers Avenue

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – North Bobhalla Avenue

Beginning on Monday, October 27, 2025, North Bobhalla Avenue will be closed from West 54th Street North to North Bobhalla Drive.

Lidel Construction will be doing utility and resurfacing work.

This work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on November 1, 2025.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Sidewalk Closure – South Main Avenue

Beginning on Thursday, October 23, 2025, the sidewalk on the west side of South Main Avenue will be closed between 11th Street and 12th Street to allow the contractor to remove and replace the steps at Washington Pavilion.

Weather permitting, the repairs are expected to be finished in two weeks.
