Street Construction Updates & Closures

Lane and Sidewalk Closure – 10th Street
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the outside eastbound lane of East 10th Street will be closed between Bahnson Avenue and Sycamore Avenue. The south sidewalk will be closed, and pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the north sidewalk.
M.J. Electric, LLC will be doing utility work. This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane and Sidewalk Closure – South Kiwanis Avenue
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the outside northbound lane of South Kiwanis Avenue will be closed between 28th Street and 26th Street. The east sidewalk will be closed, and pedestrian traffic will be detoured along South Williams Avenue.
Dave’s Construction LLC will be doing utility work. This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Lane Closures – 41st Street and Louise Avenue
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, the southeast corner of the intersection of West 41st Street and South Louise Avenue will have closures for the outside eastbound lane of West 41st Street and the northbound right turn lane of South Louise Avenue.
MidAmerican will be doing utility work. This work is expected to be completed by the end of the day.

Lane Closures – 41st Street and Marion Road
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, the southwest corner of the intersection of West 41st Street and South Marion Road will have closures for the eastbound right turn lane of West 41st Street and the outside southbound lane of South Marion Road.
MidAmerican will be doing utility work. This work is expected to be completed by the end of the day.
