New Siouxland Libraries App Enhances User Experience

Published on November 07, 2025

Siouxland Libraries has launched a new mobile app, available for free download in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The updated app includes the same great features as the previous version, with a modern design and more integrated software to enhance the user experience.

“We’re excited to offer a refreshed app that makes it easier than ever for our community to connect with our libraries,” said Nicole Norton, Senior Librarian. “Whether you’re managing multiple library cards or searching the catalog on the go, the new design is intuitive and user-friendly.”

The app allows users to add multiple library cards to one account, use mobile library cards for checkout, and search the library catalog. To get the most out of the app, users are encouraged to log in with their Siouxland Libraries barcode and PIN.

The calendar feature in the app allows users to reserve study and meeting rooms through a new, modern interface. Previously, residents had to call Siouxland Libraries to reserve a meeting room within the library system. With the app and online booking system, residents can now request a meeting room, and library staff will review and approve the requests to ensure they fit the libraries’ policy on room reservations.

“With the ability to reserve rooms and view events right from your phone, this app is a game-changer,” Norton said. “We want to make accessing library services as seamless and convenient as possible.”
