Street and Sidewalk Closure – Holly Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, South Holly Avenue will be closed to through traffic between 39th Street and 41st Street. Traffic will be detoured to South Elmwood Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will also be detoured to the west sidewalk on Holly Avenue.

First Rate Excavate will be making a new underground utility connection. This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed within one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane and Sidewalk Closure – 14th Street

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, the outside westbound lane of East 14th Street will be closed between Cliff Avenue and Seventh Avenue. The north sidewalk will be closed, and pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the south sidewalk. 

Xcel Energy will be doing utility work. This work is expected to be completed and traffic control removed by the end of the day on Monday, December 8, 2025.
