Nominating Petitions for City Election Due March 24

Eligible Sioux Falls voters who want their names placed on the June 2 city election ballot must submit their nominating petitions to the city clerk at Carnegie Town Hall, 235 W. 10th St., by 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 24.

Nominating petitions may be filed for mayor, at-large council member A, at-large council member B, the Central District council member, and the Southeast District council member. A valid nominating petition is required to be placed on the ballot.

The drawing for name placement on the ballot will be held at Carnegie Town Hall at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, will be open to the public.

The regular city election is set for Tuesday, June 2, and will be combined with the primary election. A city runoff election, if needed, will be held on Tuesday, June 23.
